“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” Luke 7:23
I don’t know how someone can call himself a Christian and worry about offending someone else by using the name of Jesus. It appears, once again, that politicians and the media are typically trying to “not offend” people. How can a “Christian” politician go to a Christian University and have them cover a cross and anything else that may pertain to Jesus. The very word “Christian” means “to be Christ-Like” and Christianity is completely about Jesus Christ. All throughout the Bible, Old and New Testaments, points to Jesus and the cross. The Son of God came to this Earth to be offered as a sacrifice. He was spit on, beaten, and humiliated for all of us sorry, low-down, good-for-nothing sinners who deserve nothing but Hell.
What other religion teaches that the Son of God would actually give His own life to save His creation?
I can tell you why people are offended by His name, because there’s great power in His name! Satan and his demons tremble at the very name of Jesus and he’ll do anything he can to prevent people from speaking about Christ. You can talk about “God” all you want, but whatever you do, don’t speak the name of Jesus.
Well… I’m not politically correct and Christians shouldn’t worry about being politically correct. So, I call on every Christian who reads this blog to speak the Name of Jesus as often as you can and not worry one bit about who you might offend.
In closing today’s blog, all I have to say is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus… haha. If you’re offended- too bad.
Until next time…
