I’d like to continue with some of the prophecies concerning Israel and end times events.
Let’s look at Luke 21: 29-36. As in Matthew 24, we read a parable of the fig tree. However, Luke mentions another phrase… “and all the trees.”
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. Luke 21:29-30
This phrase, “all the trees” may represent the nations that have sprang up since Israel became a nation in 1948. As an example, the memberships of the United Nations in 1945 was 50. In 1948 the membership had increased to 58. By 1960 to 98 nations, in 1970 to 127, 1980 to 154, 1990 to 159. Today, UN membership has risen to 193 nations!
When you see these trees budding, the fig tree and other trees, know the Kingdom is near!!!
Psalm 83:4-8 deals with the nations surrounding Israel with the words, saying “Come, let us cut them off from being a nation that the name of Israel will be remembered no more.” These words are exactly what the nations surrounding Israel are saying today. As a matter of fact, this Psalm 83 war is considered by many prophecy teachers to be the next war on the horizon. The Ezekiel 38-39 prophecies do not mention some of these nations that are mentioned in Psalm 83, so it could be that these nations will be defeated in this very war. Just keep your eyes on Israel and see what happens.
Also remember Genesis 12: 2-3…
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
I believe that God still has a covenant with Israel that has not been broken. I believe our government is starting to turn it’s back on Israel, which could mean trouble for this nation. But as Christians, we should pray for the people of Israel. We should pray for “the peace of Jerusalem.”
This is something you should keep your eyes on and see just what may happen.
Until next time…
