The Wrath of God

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.  And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Revelation 6:12-17

A lot of people are quick to quote that “God is love”. They aren’t as eager to talk about Him as an “all consuming fire.”

In the scripture reference above, we read just one example of what is coming for those who do not trust Jesus Christ as their Lord. Read the text carefully, and then think about it for a minute or two. Can you imagine MOUNTAINS and islands being moved?!? That’s an earthquake that the Richter Scale couldn’t measure!

What do the “prosperity preachers” say about verses like this? Do they even talk about it? Does YOUR pastor ever talk about this?

Many pastors won’t touch the subject, and many in their congregations don’t want to hear it. But, just because no one talks about it doesn’t mean it won’t happen!

Yes, God IS love. Yes, God loves everybody… but He hates sin! That means that a person can’t remain in sin. If you’re a homosexual you would have to stop living that lifestyle. If you are an adulterer, then you have to stop living in adultery. If you are a liar, a thief, a murderer… (I think you get my point), YOU CAN’T CONTINUE IN YOUR SIN!

If we do continue in sin, what’s described in this passage is just a small portion of what we have to look forward to.

Don’t take my word for it; open the Bible and read it for yourself.

BUT, there is a way out…

IF you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will be covered by His blood. You can be saved for all eternity. That’s more important to me than a few more fleeting years living in sin.

The decision is yours. The Bible says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Today is the day to make the decision; don’t wait until it’s too late.

PS- Pray for the 40,000 people stranded on a mountain in Iraq. They are Christians and other religious minorities, starving and thirsting to death. ISIS (the Islamic State) has them trapped without food or water in blistering heat. If something isn’t done, this will be a massacre.

Just something to think about.

Until next time…

Can you see???

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. -Matthew 24: 3-13

I’d like to take a look at the scripture above and see if any of these thing are coming to pass today. Earthquakes are occurring all over the world, everyday. Preachers who taught prophecy 20 years ago said they had to look hard to see any earthquakes happening. Volcanoes all over the world are waking up with rumbling threats. Animals all over are dying off. Hundreds of birds, all at once, mysteriously falling from the sky to their deaths. Fish dying by the thousands. The Fukushima Nuclear plant is literally poisoning the Pacific Ocean all the way to the west coast of the US. The United States is now $17 Trillion in debt. Our monetary system is being propped up artificially. The Federal Reserve is printing money as fast as it can.  All the countries of the world are blaming Israel for the tensions in the Middle East, including the US government.  Netanyahu is finally getting the message that Israel stands alone and can’t even count on the US for help. Our military is also being trained to count Christians as terrorists. I could go on and on… These are just a few things that are going on right now!

Many people are not concerned one bit about these things. They’re too busy “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” or  what Miley Cyrus is doing, or maybe worrying about the football game.  As the old saying goes, “You can’t see the forest for the trees.” You can’t see the truth if you’re not looking for it. If you have spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear, then we need to use them and see what’s happening in our world today. Look up, for your redemption draws nigh.  Just something to think about…

The LION is Coming…

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? -Revelation 6:15-17

A lot of churches today don’t want to talk about the wrath that is to come, and many won’t even touch the Book of Revelation. People have an image in their minds of the LAMB of God, as the one riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, or even the one sitting with children on His lap. These are pictures of the humble and meek Savior that He is.

But…

In the near future, Jesus will be seen much differently. In the Book of Revelation there is a description of a time of total hell on Earth. Mankind, with the help of Satan, is going to literally try to wipe each other out. The wickedness is going to be unprecedented.
Basically, from Revelation chapter 4 through chapter 19, you will find a host of unimaginable things that will take place on the Earth. The problem is, many Christians don’t want to read the Book of Revelation and some don’t want to think about what it has to say.
Well, I say, you better read it! You need to find out what it says, not because I said so, but for your own good. I believe it’s the responsibility of the men of God to tell others what’s coming.
All that being said, let’s go back to the Scripture reference and talk about the terror of The Lord. When Jesus returns, He won’t be the humble LAMB of God, but the LION of the Tribe of Judah. Let’s look at the description of Jesus’ return found in Revelation 19: 11-16.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

A well known actor was once asked “If you stood before God and could say anything, what would it be.” He replied, “I would say, ‘You have a lot of explaining to do’.”

I DON’T THINK SO!!! . I think this is a good example of people who don’t have the fear of The Lord. But, MARK MY WORD, those who don’t humble themselves and repent now WILL experience the fear of The Lord. This guy, like everyone else like him, will be face down, trembling before the Lord.

Just something to think about.

Until next time…

The Latter Days Supersign Pt. 2

I’d like to continue with some of the prophecies concerning Israel and end times events.

Let’s look at Luke 21: 29-36. As in Matthew 24, we read a parable of the fig tree. However, Luke mentions another phrase… “and all the trees.”

And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. Luke 21:29-30

This phrase, “all the trees” may represent the nations that have sprang up since Israel became a nation in 1948. As an example, the memberships of the United Nations in 1945 was 50. In 1948 the membership had increased to 58. By 1960 to 98 nations, in 1970 to 127, 1980 to 154, 1990 to 159. Today, UN membership has risen to 193 nations!

When you see these trees budding, the fig tree and other trees, know the Kingdom is near!!!

Psalm 83:4-8 deals with the nations surrounding Israel with the words, saying “Come, let us cut them off from being a nation that the name of Israel will be remembered no more.” These words are exactly what the nations surrounding Israel are saying today. As a matter of fact, this Psalm 83 war is considered by many prophecy teachers to be the next war on the horizon. The Ezekiel 38-39 prophecies do not mention some of these nations that are mentioned in Psalm 83, so it could be that these nations will be defeated in this very war. Just keep your eyes on Israel and see what happens.

Also remember Genesis 12: 2-3…

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

I believe that God still has a covenant with Israel that has not been broken. I believe our government is starting to turn it’s back on Israel, which could mean trouble for this nation. But as Christians, we should pray for the people of Israel. We should pray for “the peace of Jerusalem.”

This is something you should keep your eyes on and see just what may happen.

Until next time…

The Latter Days Supersign!

A lot of people don’t believe that we’re living in the latter days, but I for one, believe that we ARE. There are many reasons why I believe this, but today, I just want to touch on one… The Nation Israel.

Read Ezekiel 37 about the valley of dry bones, and how those dry bones come back to life and flesh returns to the bones. This is Ezekiel seeing the Jews returning to the land, even after being scattered throughout the Earth for nearly 2000 years.

Isaiah 66:8 speaks of a nation being born in a day. That is exactly what happened to Israel on May 14, 1948. There’s been over 5 million (and some estimate nearer to 6 million) Jews return to the land since 1948, bring the Jewish beliefs, culture and Hebrew language with them. This is historically unprecedented.

For almost 1900 years, the land of Israel was nearly uninhabited, a desolate waste land. God declared this in Deuteronomy 29:23-28 and Ezekiel 36:33-36. Now, the land is one of the world’s leading exporters of flowers, ornamental plants, and produce.

He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. -Isaiah 27:6

The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God. -Isaiah 35:1-2

The land was also barren and had no trees. Today, the Jews have planted trees everywhere and they are thriving. The land has experienced a complete turn-around since the Jewish people have returned and the Scripture teaches that this would only happen in the latter days.

Scripture also refers to the fig tree putting forth leaves while it is tender and this being a sign that summer is nigh. (Matthew 24: 32-33) The fig tree and tender branches represents the young nation of Israel. Israel is only 65 years old- it’s still young as a nation. So we can expect that summer (or the latter days) are near, “even at the door.”

These are only a few of the prophecies that The Bible mentions of the latter days. There are many more. With that being said, I am convinced that we are at the end of the ‘age of grace’ and that Jesus is soon to return for His bride. If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, now is the time to get saved!!!
Until next time…
